Education Consultant

Monique Harrell is an educator with over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring
math. She specializes in supporting students with learning differences by helping with executive
function and organizational skills, being a liaison between parents and administration, and
teaching the skills necessary for student success. She believes all students are capable of
learning and thriving when given the proper tools and support.

Monique received a B.S. in Mathematics from North Carolina State University and an M.S. in
Educational Psychology from Georgia State University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in
Educational Psychology from Georgia State University. Her research interests include how direct
instruction can be used in the classroom to help students learn the foundational skills of math
and bridging the gap for students who fall between special education and the mainstream
classroom. Monique’s background and experience also include extensive knowledge and
support for IEPs, 504 plans, and making sure students receive the necessary accommodations.
She is also trained in testing for learning disabilities and psychometry.

D. Renae Long is a long-term government employee with a vast knowledge of Human Services program, policy and procedures. Renae received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Management from Clayton State University and a Master of Science in Administration with a focus on Leadership from Central Michigan University. She is experienced in policy development, organization, contract monitoring and performance review.
